Yoga Retreat

A 3-day weekend retreat to Restore and Renew in the luxury setting of Purusha Retreats, Lincolnshire

Friday 4th July – Sunday 6th July 2025

This weekend retreat offers an ideal opportunity to escape and cherish some valuable 'me time,’ as we spend the weekend cocooned in nature reconnecting with ourselves and the nature that surrounds us. Indulge in sacred time on the yoga mat to recharge, feel rejuvenated and inspired. With plenty of spacious leisure time, to read, snooze, bathe in a hot tub, hike, wander, explore, this retreat is just the ticket to refreshing your body, mind and soul.

Yoga For You

Be guided through morning Vinyasa Flow practices that awaken and enliven your energy for the day.  Relax into evening Yin Yoga and restorative practices that stimulate the Vagus Nerve to help promote a sense of inner calm and encourage a good night’s sleep. The yoga practices will be heartfelt and uplifting supporting you to feel more at ease. There will be plenty of time to ask questions about your own individual practice to give a more induvial experience. Yoga Philosophy will be integrated through each practice so you come away with a deeper understanding of the many areas of yoga.

Pranayama

The morning and evening classes will encompass a range of Pranayama techniques where there will be a focus on mastering efficient breathing and understanding its significance.

Meditation

Explore different types of Meditation practices to soothe mental stress and learn techniques to calm the mind fostering self-compassion, and extending kindness to others. Time will be spent teaching what Meditation is and how the Buddha taught thousands of years ago. When we quieten the mind, we delve deeper into what it means to be ‘you’.

Walking Meditation

Option to take an afternoon walk through the field of sweet peas towards the woodland area. Connecting to nature and ourselves by being silent and embracing the quietness of the environment whilst also being part of the community of the group.

Yamas and Niyamas

Space to transform our usual thoughts by practicing gratitude leading to health, happiness and optimism.  Reflections of the Yamas and Niyamas (Ethical principles of yoga) have powerful effects on the mind and can change perception of the world. Over the weekend opportunities to practice these reflections in your own time and own space will be delivered you just never know when!

Discover

The Yoga Retreat offers a chance to both relax and learn. Kathy's teachings focus on empowering students with knowledge so you can independently practice on your own volition. The retreat will introduce simple techniques to foster harmony, focussed around the 8 Limbs of yoga. It will also explore the philosophies of yoga, the Koshas, as well as the neuroscience behind yoga's benefits for stress, providing you with tools to integrate these ancient yoga practices into daily life. A booklet on the neuroscience of yoga will be given at the beginning of the retreat for you to read at your own leisure.
